Mr. Ruskin has acted as receiver/liquidator of failed insurance companies, marshaling millions in assets, consolidating operations across 30 different companies and their affiliates. In that capacity, he coordinated fraud and related investigations extending across the U.S., Central America and Europe.

He has turnaround and startup experience with insurance and other industries, and has represented commercial interests with operations, expansion planning, and litigation. Additionally, Mr. Ruskin has extensive criminal trial experience as a defense attorney.

Following the flooding of Hurricane Katrina, in New Orleans, Mr. Ruskin left a small, niche firm of engineer lawyers.

For many years, Mr. Ruskin had been a faculty member with the Trial Advocacy program at the Tulane University Law School, in New Orleans, Louisiana.
